McNair Scholars Program accepting applications of outstanding students

The McNair Scholars Program is now accepting applications of outstanding undergraduate students to apply for the McNair Scholars Program for the 2012-2013-academic year.

Please help identify qualified students. Applications may be retrieved from the McNair office at 173B Grace Wilkie Annex and applications will be accepted through 5 p.m. Monday, April 16.

The program serves low-income and first-generation college students and prepares them for the transition into graduate school, to eventually earn a doctorate. In particular, the program targets students who are traditionally underrepresented in graduate education, including African American, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Hispanic/Latino and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander.

These students need to have completed at least 40 credit hours and attend WSU on a full-time basis. They also need a minimum GPA of 2.75 or 3.00 in the last 60 credit hours.
