Reminders
* The parking lot adjacent to the Rhatigan Student Center (Lot 7 -- no permit required lot) will be closed to university staff and students from 6 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, March 9. An open house is being sponsored at the RSC by the Office of Admissions on that day.
* Spend your lunch break visiting cultures around the world. The next Cultural Ambassador Program (CAP) this spring will feature the country of Kenya by Rachel Wariara Kariuki from 12:30-1:15 p.m. today (Thursday, March 8) in the RSC Fireplace Lounge. * The WSU Foundation will only hold one workshop on finance and accounting from 2-3 p.m. today (Thursday, March 8) in RSC 223. The other workshops were canceled.
* The next event in the 8th Annual Poetry and Fiction Reading Series will feature a reading by award-winning author and WSU alumni Marlin "Bart" Barton from 3-4 p.m. today (Thursday, March 8) on the lower level of Ablah Library. Barton also will give a lecture at 4:30 p.m. titled "Criticism and Rejection: Ah, the Writing Life." Both events are free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
* The Spring Entrepreneurship Forum Series featuring the founder and CEO of Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwich Shops will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. today (Thursday, March 8) in 107 Devlin Hall. Admission is free.
* All faculty and staff are invited to review the information now in their employee records. In addition, one may review and update her/his ethnicity and race using the new federal guidelines. The Human Resource Office is also asking everyone to provide emergency contact information. To access this new tool, please log into the myWSU portal, click on the Faculty/Staff Resources tab, and in the Employment Details channel you will find the link "Demographic Verification." You can then follow the directions provided.
