Center for Urban Studies co-hosts annual municipal clerks conference

More than 160 municipal clerks from across Kansas will be in Wichita today (Wednesday, March 14) through Friday, March 16, for an annual spring conference hosted by the City Clerks and Municipal Finance Officers Association of Kansas and the Center for Urban Studies, Hugo Wall School of Urban and Public Affairs at WSU.

Keynote speakers include Kansas Magistrate Judge Tommy Webb; WSU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Assistant Dean Marche Fleming-Randle; and Lyons City Administrator John Sweet.

The Kansas Clerk of the Year will be honored at the March 15 luncheon.

Conference headquarters is the Wichita Marriott Hotel. The conference coordinator is Gayle Martin, CCCMFOA of Kansas education director and public affairs associate, Center for Urban Studies.
