KMUW has declared the first day of its spring pledge drive as Don and Shirley Beggs Day. On Thursday, April 12, the bi-annual drive will feature the honorary guests on air from 4-5 p.m. Because the president and first lady have always been loyal supporters of the university-licensed public radio station, KMUW has recruited WSU faculty, staff and alumni to answer pledge phones throughout the day. Keith Pickus, interim provost and professor of modern German and European history, will be an on-air guest from 8-9 a.m. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Pat Hayes, membership coordinator, at hayes@kmuw.org or 978-7171.
