* The Fairmount Center for Science and Mathematics Education invites you to help with the 25th Annual State Science Olympiad at WSU, Saturday, April 7. More than 1,000 students from across Kansas will come and compete in events covering all areas of science and engineering. * The WSU Cultural Ambassadors give country presentations for the Sedgwick County Zoo each quarter as part of their adult adventure/cultural night series. The program is accompanied by food from the same region made by the zoo chef in collaboration with the WSU student. The next program, featuring a presentation by Meli Lamei about Iran, will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27. The cost is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. If you'd like to attend, call 266-8213 by Thursday, March 22.
* WSU Fire/Safety is conducting fire sprinkler and fire standpipe testing now through Friday, March 23, starting at about 7:30 a.m. each day.
* Student Health Services will be closed during the lunch hour from noon-1 p.m. during spring break week now through Friday, March 23.
* WSU's Tilford Group Commission is offering Tilford Incentive Grants. Recipients will receive up to a $4,000 stipend in academic year 2012-2013 to either develop a new course or modify an existing course to significantly enhance its diversity content. Proposals are due March 31. Forms are downloadable at http://webs.wichita.edu/?u=tilford. Proposals may be returned to campus box 73 or delivered to 174 Grace Wilkie Annex.
