Free Jazz Festival events for WSU students

The Wichita Jazz Festival is working with the WSU Student Government Association to provide a pair of concerts from world-class jazz musicians free of charge for WSU students.

Gabriel Alegria and the Afro-Peruvian Sextet will be playing at 7:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 18) at Doc Howards Lounge, 252 N. Mosley.

The Miguel Zenon Quartet and Poncho Sanchez and his Latin Jazz Band with Terence Blanchard will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 21, in WSU's Miller Concert Hall. There are a limited number of free student tickets available.

Students may pick them up with their student ID at the Fine Arts Box Office, located in Duerksen Fine Arts Center. A ticket for the concert Saturday admits one student free to today's (April 18) concert.
