The Kansas Board of Regents will hold a special meeting followed by a brief press conference to name the next president of Wichita State University at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 27, in the Rhatigan Student Center Ballroom on the WSU campus.

The chair of the Kansas Board of Regents, Ed McKechnie of Arcadia, released the following statement concerning the announcement: "One of the most important responsibilities of the Kansas Board of Regents is selecting a university president. I am pleased to announce the Regents will name the next president of Wichita State University on April 27. We look forward to introducing the president to members of the WSU and Wichita communities and to a bright future."
