WSU is transitioning into a new accreditation model as required by our accreditor, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). As part of that transition, the university will need to engage in a quality improvement initiative before our next accreditation reaffirmation in 2016-2017. To facilitate this work, a WSU HLC Work Group has been established and developed a draft QI initiative proposal, centered around our ongoing efforts in student success. The draft initiative has been endorsed by the president and provost (and reviewed by the HLC steering committee, made up of the president's administrative staff and presidents of the three senates). Prior to submitting the QI initiative to HLC for approval this fall, the work group is seeking feedback from the university community.
