Important reminder for supervisors of classified employees

The Performance Management Process for classified employees requires a mid-year discussion between April 1 and May 31. You will not assign a rating during this discussion, but you will discuss the established objectives and competencies and the employee's progress toward meeting these goals. Document this discussion on page 3 of the form (Part II: mid-year discussion). There is no need to turn this in to Human Resources at this time. HR will check this on the final copy that is submitted between Oct. 1 and Dec. 21. After the discussion with the employee, have him/her sign on page 10 of the form under mid-year discussion signatures to document that the discussion took place.
