Reminders

* Faculty and staff are invited to a retirement reception in honor of Bill Wynne from 3-5 p.m. today (Tuesday, May 15) in the Multipurpose Room 180, Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Enter the building through door "N." Comments will be made at 3:30 p.m. Wynne is completing 36 years as the university registrar. The registrar's office will be closed from 3-5 p.m.

* The funeral for Phil Bowers will be held at 11 a.m. today (Tuesday, May 15) at Countryside Christian Church, 1919 S. Rock Road. A section will be reserved for Wichita State. Bowers was assistant director for TRIO Disability Support Services.

* Student Health Services will be closed from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, May 16.

* Participants are needed to help the WSU Health Risk Assessment Team and Sedgwick County Health Department (SCHD) with a practice drill of the point of distribution site at Charles Koch Arena on Thursday, May 31. Participants will need to complete an online registration form and RSVP by May 24 at http://www.dispenseassist.com. Select "Anthrax" under the Vouchers menu and complete the form. * A training session on Microsoft Beginning Outlook 2010 will be offered Thursday, May 17, in 119 Jabara Hall. This hands-on training introduces users to customizing their Outlook experience. To view training dates and register for the class log into myWSU, select EmpHelp (orange cube under the Weather) and myTraining. Click the Register button to view session details and register for training.

* The campus and community are invited to attend the farewell reception for Shirley and Don Beggs from 2:30-4 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the Preferred Health Systems Practice Facility at Charles Koch Arena. The WSU Foundation is collecting personal notes and photos for a scrapbook of their 13-year tenure at WSU. All items may be sent to Stacie Williamson at campus box 2.
