In summer 2012, Wichita State will introduce a new, two-day format for Freshman Orientation. This new, more robust orientation experience will include academic advising and an extensive program for parents as well. Faculty members from each college have been selected to speak with students and parents at each of the 13 Orientations scheduled this summer. The Freshman Orientation Faculty Fellows for 2012 are George Dehner (History), Carolyn Shaw (Political Science), Trisha Self (Communication Sciences and Disorders), Larry Whitman (Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering), Kimberly McDowell (Curriculum and Instruction), Tom Wine (Music Education) and Geri Markova (Management).
