College of Education staff to honor architect's birthday

College of Education staff have declared Friday, June 8, Frank Lloyd Wright Day in honor of the architect's birthday. Alan Aagaard, assistant professor, curriuculum and instruction, will give tours of Corbin Education Center from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. that day. Brochures will be available with information about the building. Faculty, staff and visitors are encouraged to wear turquoise and/or coral. Folklore has it -- and the assistant director of the Frank Lloyd Wright Archives does not dispute -- that it is entirely possible Olgivanna Wright, Frank's widow, chose the color scheme for the interior of Corbin Education Center after the architect's death.
