* Lake Afton Public Observatory will be open for a very special event -- the transit of Venus -- from 4:45-8 p.m. today (Tuesday, June 5). A transit of Venus occurs when Venus passes directly between the sun and Earth. For more information, go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1611.
* The Intensive English Language Center needs volunteers to be conversation leaders on Wednesdays, helping international students practice English conversation skills. If you are a native speaker of American English and would like to volunteer, send an email expressing your interest to william.thomas@wichita.edu. For the next few weeks until the end of the summer session, the Wednesday sessions are 10-11:45 a.m., noon-1:45 p.m., and 2:15-4:15 p.m.

* Training on Microsoft Beginning Outlook 2010 will be offered on Thursday, June 7, in 119 Jabara Hall. This hands-on training introduces the user to customizing their Outlook experience.
