* The Office of Financial Operations will be closed from 9 a.m.-noon today (Thursday, June 7) to attend the graveside services for Lou Kennedy, 29-year employee of Wichita State University and the financial operations office.
* The Ulrich Museum's free, outdoor summer music series, Art For Your Ears, kicks off the season with 2011 International Blues Challenge finalists Big Jim Adam and John Stilwagen at 7 p.m. today (Thursday, June 7), on the McKnight Art Center plaza. * Take a tour of Corbin Education Center from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, June 8, in honor of architect Frank Lloyd Wright's birthday. Faculty, staff and visitors are encouraged to wear turquoise and/or coral. Folklore has it that Olgivanna Wright, Frank's widow, chose the color scheme for the interior of Corbin Education Center after the architect's death.
