The statistics are alarming. According to the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, 36 million Americans have a hearing loss " this includes 17 percent of the adult population. Although nearly half of those over age 75 have hearing loss, Wichita State University audiologist Ray Hull says hearing loss isn't just a problem for the elderly. He also explains why more people don't seek help.
