* Career Services will host a Job Search Workshop for students from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the WSU West Campus computer lab. It is open to any WSU student or recent graduate who is searching for a full-time position. The event is free, but students must sign up by Wednesday, June 27, on Hire-a-Shocker, accessible through their myWSU account, to attend. For more information, contact Career Services at 978-3435.
* A new social media campaign, which centers on the distinctive experience-based learning WSU provides, will run Aug. 1-Oct. 31. Please encourage students and alumni to engage on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, with the hashtag #WSUexperience, to share what they have learned in their new careers, current internships or other job-related experiences in their field of study. * Requisitions are due at the WSU Foundation by 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, for checks to be available Friday, June 29. Emergency checks can be issued on an as-needed basis. All deposits must be in by June 29 to be posted in FY12.
* A training session on using Word 2010 will be offered Thursday, June 28, and Tuesday, July 17, in 119 Jabara Hall. This hands-on training will help the user learn to use Word to quickly create a professional document. Click the Register button to view session details and register for training.
