The Intensive English Language Center needs volunteer drivers to be conversation leaders. Conversation leaders spend time on Wednesdays helping international students practice English conversation skills. If you have an interest in other cultures and are a good listener, you probably would enjoy being a conversation leader. If you are a native speaker of American English and would like to volunteer, send an email expressing your interest to william.thomas@wichita.edu. For the next few weeks until the end of the summer session -- the Wednesday sessions are 10-11:30 a.m., noon-1:30 p.m., and 2:15-4:15 p.m. -- we especially need drivers of vans, minivans and big cars. In the fall we will continue, but the schedule may change.
