WSU connection to the greatest physics discovery of our time

The excitement in science of the last week has been the sensational discovery at CERN of the Higgs Boson, which gives particles their mass. Wichita State has a connection to this exceptional result. Physics professor Nickolas Solomey worked at CERN from 1985-1992. He and assistant professor Holger Myer continue working in the forefront of the field of particle physics. They are participating in the Fermilab E907 experiment of charged particle interactions. Solomey also is co-spokesman of this experiment.
