* An international conference is being held in Wichita Monday, July 23, through Sunday, July 29, at the Hyatt Regency Wichita. Nickolas Solomey, director and professor of physics, said there will be a lot of talks from CERN and Fermilab about the search and discovery of the Higgs Boson. It will be the second conference series that has all these detailed results, and the first conference in the United States to have all these details.

* On Friday, July 20, four of baseball's most revered icons will be immortalized on Forever stamps with the issuance of the Major League Baseball All-Stars Forever Stamps. The stamps honor Joe DiMaggio of the New York Yankees; Larry Doby of the Cleveland Indians; Willie Stargell of the Pittsburgh Pirates; and Ted Williams of the Boston Red Sox. Sheets of stamps will be available at the Campus Post Office for a limited time.

* Campus Ministry @ WSU will bring Rev. Lorenza Andale Smith to campus Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 19-20, to speak about her experiences living on the street in San Antonio, Texas, and traveling with homeless and immigrant populations. Some class time will be scheduled and faculty might arrange extra credit opportunities to encourage students to attend public events that will be planned as well.
