Art enthusiasts age 55 and up are invited to Senior Wednesday at the Ulrich July 18 at the Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Admission is free. Refreshments are at 10 a.m., followed by a program at 10:30 a.m. Graffiti and street art meet knit and purl when groups of knitters cover light poles, tree trunks -- even cars and buses -- with brightly colored yarn. Learn about this fun and unique art form, then loosen up your fingers and take a stab at learning to knit with Shelly Stilger, owner of Wichita's Twist Yarn Shop. Bring your own needles and yarn, or use those provided by the Ulrich and Twist. For more information, call 978-3664 or ulrich@wichita.edu.
