* Dennis Harvey, property control, in Financial Operations, is retiring after more than 15 years of service at WSU. Come wish him well at a reception from 2:30-3:30 p.m. today (Thursday, July 26) in 419 Jardine Hall. Remarks will be around 3 p.m. Because of the celebration, the Office of Financial Operations will be closed from 2:30-3:30 p.m.

* A free public talk, "Black holes, information, and gravity," will be presented by Roland Winston of the Schools of Natural Science and Engineering at the University of California, Merced, at 6 p.m. today (Thursday, July 26) in the Grand Eagle Ballroom, Hyatt Regency Wichita. * Visit the University Bookstore from 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. today (Thursday, July 26) and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, July 27, to return your summer rentals or sell back your textbooks for cash.

* The WSU Child Development Center has four open spots for its pre-K program for this fall. Children need to be 4 years old and going into kindergarten in the fall of 2013. Please contact the CDC to inquire more about enrollment and tuition at 978-3109.
