* WSU is working on a quality initiative (QI) as required for its next accreditation reaffirmation in 2016-2017 by the Higher Learning Commission. * The Rhatigan Renewal RSC Open House will be held from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2. Visit the temporary offices and retail locations in the RSC. The first 100 visitors will receive a 2nd annual Rhatigan Renewal T-shirt. See the building, ask questions and enjoy free ice cream treats.
* The new General Education brochure incorporates the new outcomes and presents the information in an appealing manner that can help students plan their general education. Faculty and staff can download the brochure at http://wichita.edu/generaleducation.
* WSU's Counseling and Testing Center is offering a workshop to help high school students prepare for the ACT from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Aug. 11, at WSU. * Four of baseball's most revered icons -- Joe DiMaggio, Larry Doby, Willie Stargell and Ted Williams -- have been immortalized with the issuance of the Major League Baseball All-Stars Forever Stamps. Sheets of stamps will be available at the Campus Post Office for a limited time.
