Wichita State to announce new Mel Hambelton Endowed Scholarship

The first Mel Hambelton Endowed Scholarship will be announced during a brief ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, in front of Morrison Hall at Wichita State University.

The endowed scholarship was established thanks to a $200,000 gift. The first recipient, a recent local high school graduate who will be a freshman at Wichita State this fall, will attend the announcement.
