* WSU Athletics will host its annual Volleyball 101 fundraiser Saturday, Aug. 18. Tickets for this event are available through the Athletic Ticket Office at 978-3267. Come support your volleyball team and help start the season with a big bash.
* Student Activities Council and Housing and Residence Life invite faculty and staff to help serve students at a late-night breakfast from 11 p.m.-1 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, in Fairmount Towers Cafeteria. Volunteer by contacting SAC at 978-3022 or sac@wichita.edu.
* A Beginning Word 2010 session will be held Wednesday, Aug. 15. This hands-on training will help the user learn to use Word to quickly create a professional document. To view training times and register for the class, log in to myWSU, select EmpHelp (orange cube under the Weather) and myTraining. Click the Register button to view session details and register for training.
* The Rhatigan Renewal project has drawn spectators and raised questions this summer as renovation work has continued. But almost anything that was at the RSC before the renewal project can still be found there now, although it it might be a bit scaled down. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1727.
