* Utility service re-routing work in the RSC construction site is necessitating a number of water service shutdowns to various buildings. Restrooms and water fountains will be unavailable until 11 a.m. today (Friday, Aug. 17) in Jabara Hall, Grace Chapel, Clinton Hall, Rhatigan Student Center, Human Resources Building, Elliott Hall, Geology Building and Engineering Building.

* The Central Services supply room will be closed from noon-5 p.m. today (Friday, Aug. 17) for staff development.

* Library orientations for new faculty will be held from 9-10 a.m. today (Friday, Aug. 17) and library orientations for new GAs are scheduled from 11 a.m.-noon today (Friday, Aug. 17). Staff are welcome. For more information, contact angela.paul@wichita.edu or call 978-5084.

* Reading Explorers, an early literacy-learning playgroup, is accepting applicants for the 2012-2013 academic year. Tuition is $150 per semester. Children must be 4 to 6 years old and accompanied by an adult caregiver (parent, grandparent or friend). This group meets from 1-2:30 p.m. on Thursdays.
