* Today (Monday, Aug. 20) is National Radio Day. KMUW -- Wichita Public Radio invites you to help celebrate by stopping by the station for coffee and homemade cookies. Drop by any time from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. for a snack, chat and a quick tour. KMUW is located at 3317 E 17th St. in Blake Hall.

* WSU Libraries is offering one-hour workshops from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, and Wednesday, Aug. 29, in 217 Ablah Library on citation searching for all interested faculty, including those preparing tenure, promotion and other documents. * The Office for Faculty Development and Student Success announces a new program for new students who are looking for peer assistance in making the transition to WSU. * If you're tired of having to remember a different user ID and passwords for everything, University Libraries has upgraded Interlibrary Loan to use your MyWSU ID and password. Just complete a short re-registration form the next time you need to request an item. Any previous request history will be merged with the new account within 48 hours. * Rock out during Welcomefest when Wichita-based party band Blue Eyed Soul comes to campus. The free concert, sponsored by the Ulrich Museum, starts at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22, on the Heskett Center west lawn. Enjoy a great band, prizes and refreshments.
