* The Office for Faculty Development and Student Success has a new program for new students who are looking for peer assistance in making the transition to WSU. Peer Connections will match new students with a trained peer leader who will help coach them through their first semester. Email Kim Sandlin at peer.connections@wichita.edu for more information.
* If you're tired of having to remember a different user ID and passwords for everything, University Libraries has upgraded Interlibrary Loan to use your myWSU ID and password. Just complete a short re-registration form the next time you need to request an item. Any previous request history will be merged with the new account within 48 hours. * Remember to submit campus events to the online calendar for WSU at http://www.wichita.edu/calendarsubmit. Early entry is crucial to campus planners, campus media and statewide print and broadcast media, all of whom need to know the time, date, place and cost of any individual event.
* Faculty and staff who reach milestone years of service will be recognized in three ceremonies in September. Length of service is recognized in five-year increments. * A one-hour library orientation for students will begin by the circulation desk at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, in Ablah Library. Students will be introduced to the research process and learn how to find scholarly articles in 217 Ablah after the tour. The tour is open to everyone.
