* WSU's Department of History invites you to hear Jane Wickersham, associate professor of history at the University of Oklahoma, at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 6) in 208 Hubbard Hall. Wickersham will present "Lies and the Lying Heretics Who Tell Them: Ritual Practice and the Roman Inquisition's Pursuit of 'True Confessions.'" Admission is free.

* SAC is presenting its first ever Trivia Night from 5-7 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 6) in the RSC's wRECk Center. Individuals may compete in four exciting games of trivia for awesome prize baskets. Please share this information with your students.

* WSU's Office of Academic Affairs and Research will support a group of faculty members to attend the 2012 Institute for Student Learning and Assessment featuring best practices in High Impact Instructional Practices and Student Learning Assessment on the K-State campus Thursday, Oct. 25.
