Reminders
* The Faculty Senate will meet at 3:30 p.m. today (Monday, Sept. 10) in 126 Clinton Hall. The agenda is available at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1809.
* "The Pituitary/Gonadal Axis Program Project: Deriving Clinical Relevance from Basic Research" is the title of a presentation by Jeff May, research associate professor of biological sciences at 4 p.m. today (Monday, Sept. 10) in 218 Hubbard Hall. The presentation is part of the Department of Biological Sciences Seminar Series.
* Student Health Services will begin giving flu shots today (Monday, Sept. 10) during normal triage times: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. SHS is closed occasionally on Wednesdays from noon-1:30 p.m. for staff meetings. Please call 978-3620 before coming over. The cost is $10 for students and $25 for staff/faculty. Student Health will offer a $5 discount for two non-perishable food items for the food pantry.
* The results of the 2012 exit survey, administered to all graduating students during the past academic year, are available. The university, colleges and programs will use the full results to make improvements over time. To learn more, go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?1732
* The Intensive English Language Center needs volunteers -- especially drivers -- to be conversation leaders. Conversation leaders spend time on Wednesdays helping international students practice English conversation skills. If you are a native speaker of American English and would like to volunteer, send an email expressing your interest to william.thomas@wichita.edu.
* The Council of University Women will host an open house from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, in 307-309 NIAR. Come enjoy some snacks, find out what's planned for the upcoming year, sign up to be a hostess for a future meeting and get to know your fellow CUW members.
