* Rev. Lorenza Andrade-Smith, who lives on the streets of San Antonio, will speak at 9:30 a.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 20) in 201 Ahlberg Hall. She was invited to campus to speak on her advocacy as a homeless pastor of the United Methodist Church. This is a joint sponsorship the WSU School of Social Work has with WSU Campus Ministry. * The Fall 2012 Job Fair, hosted by the Office of Career Services, will be held from 4-7 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 20) in Koch Arena. The list of companies registered for the Job Fair is available on the Career Services website at http://www.wichita.edu/career. Click on events.

* Guest artist Michael Powell, tenor trombonist of the American Brass Quintet since 1983, will appear in concert with the WSU Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 20) in Miller Concert Hall. Tickets are available by calling 978-3233 or http://www.wichita.edu/fineartsboxoffice.

* There will be a test of the ShockerAlert System at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, to ensure that campuswide emergency communication channels are functioning properly. * In conjunction with its 2012 Job Fair, Career Services provides faculty, staff and students an opportunity to donate to the Dress for Success Wichita organization to help local women in need. A donation box will be located at Career Services, 203 Grace Wilkie Hall from now to 9 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24. * Student Health Services is giving flu shots during normal triage times: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. SHS is closed occasionally on Wednesdays from noon-1:30 p.m. for staff meetings. Please call 978-3620 before coming over. The cost is $10 for students and $25 for staff/faculty. Student Health will offer a $5 discount for two nonperishable food items for the food pantry.
