* There will be a test of the ShockerAlert System at 1 p.m. today (Friday, Sept. 21) to ensure that campuswide emergency communication channels are functioning properly. * The Benders of Twigs ceremony, which recognizes individuals with 25 years of service to WSU, will be held today (Friday, Sept. 21) in Miller Concert Hall, Duerksen Fine Arts Center. * Student Activities Council presents the Fall Family Carnival: "Save the Day with Huxley and Wu-Man" from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, on the Heskett Center west lawn. Come out for inflatables, games, clowns and some special guest appearances from your favorite super heroes. Admission is free, though some attractions require tickets that can be purchased for 25 cents each or five for $1.

* Student Involvement is seeking staff and faculty who are interested in volunteering as student organization advisers, who serve as a resource and connect students to campus resources and initiatives. * KMUW has declared the first day of its fall pledge drive as WSU Day. On Thursday, Sept. 27, the bi-annual drive will feature WSU faculty, staff and alumni answering pledge phones throughout the day.
