RSC to celebrate National Student Day
The RSC has a whole day of activities planned for Oct. 4, including:
- Campuswide food drive booster day to support Kansas Food Bank and LAPP (Lifeline Animal Placement and Protection)
- 32 inch flat screen LCD TV give-away
- 20 percent bookstore discount armbands to first 100 students to donate to food drive
- Student organizations volunteer boards on display
- Hot buys in the bookstore every two hours
- Rhatigan Renewal T-shirt give-away from 10-11 a.m.
- RSC food court re-opening
- Community service awareness competition
Students can also win cool prizes from National Association of College Stores (NACS) by sharing their story of social responsibility. Students can submit their story on how they give back to their community online. Stories will then be voted on by students across North America. The 10 most popular stories will win awards consisting of $3,000, $2,000 and $1,000 scholarships as well as seven iPads.
