Broadway actor, recording artist and author Charles Holt will perform at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, in 210 McKnight Art Center West. Admission is free. Holt weaves together music and narratives chronicling the African American experience and giving special emphasis to the unique musicians of the 1960s, a social turning point for a nation in transition. The performance is in conjunction with the photography exhibition "The Hard Kind of Courage: Gordon Parks" and the "Photographers of the Civil Rights Era," on view through Dec. 16.
