* Practical Entrepreneur Training Tools will feature "Choosing a Francise to Buy -- or to Franchise Your Business" from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, in Devlin Hall. * Student Activities Council is organizing its annual Trunk or Treat event from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, in the parking lot by the Heskett Center playfields. Departments have the opportunity to sponsor a trunk and/or activity and help children trick or treat in a safe environment. * Camp WuShock, a family-friendly program sponsored by Campus Recreation, is a fun camp for children ages 5-12. Camp WuShock will be held during Wichita USD 259 in-service days. Camp dates are Oct. 11-12, Nov. 12, Feb. 19, March 14-15 and April 18-19. Camp times are 8 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. Register online at http://www.wichita.edu/campwu.
* The Olympic oak tree honoring the gold medal win for two former University of Wichita basketball players and a former coach will be dedicated at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, near the Charles Koch Arena ticket office. * WSU will inaugurate President John Bardo at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Hughes Metropolitan Complex. Carpooling is encouraged because of limited parking space. The inauguration ceremony will be telecast live on WSU-TV Cox Cable Channel 13, on campus via the CIC Campus Information Channel, and streamed online at http://www.wichita.edu/inauguration.
