2012 President's Club/Inauguration Dinner

Well-wishers filled the Preferred Health Systems Multipurpose Gym in Charles Koch Arena for a dinner on Oct. 11 to celebrate the inauguration of John Bardo as the 13th president of Wichita State University. The event, sponsored by the WSU Foundation, also recognized 23 donors to WSU who have achieved the giving level of President's Club Life Member. These dedicated friends have donated at least $100,000 during their lifetimes.

More than 400 attendees came from nearly 10 different states for the festivities. Ron Matson, interim dean of the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, shared stories about Deborah and John Bardo during their first experiences at Wichita State -- he as an assistant professor of sociology and she as a grad student working in Neff Hall.

Congratulatory comments were made by Kansas Sen. Pat Roberts and Rep. Mike Pompeo.

Following, Bill Moore, chair of the WSU Foundation Board of Directors, Elizabeth King, president and CEO of the WSU Foundation, and Bardo honored the new Life Members of the President's Club.
