Top CEOs headline WSU Barton School's Business Week 2008

The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University is hosting Business Week 2008 from Monday, March 3, to Friday, March 7, on the WSU campus.

The yearly event is designed to give students a roadmap to the business world by providing an opportunity to network with professionals, explore career paths and learn what it takes to be successful in the workplace.

Events are free, and all students, regardless of major, are welcome to attend.

Richard Kincaid, a WSU alumnus, will give the keynote address from 7:15-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, in 208 Hubbard Hall.

Kincaid was the president and CEO of Equity Office Properties Trust until its acquisition by the Blackstone Group in February 2007. He is now a principal in Lakeshore Holdings LLC and president and founder of the BeCause Foundation. He received his bachelor’s from WSU and his master’s in business administration from the University of Texas.

The week will be full of discussions by Wichita-area business leaders and WSU staff. All events are open to the WSU community and the keynote is open to the public.

More than 2,000 students are expected to participate in the week-long event.
