The Wichita State volleyball team received votes in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Preseason Poll, which was released Aug. 15. The Shockers received 11 points in the poll.
The Shockers open the season on the road Aug. 26, at the Chevron Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Honolulu, Hawaii against Arizona.
WSU returns four starters and nine letterwinners to a team that went 21-8 in 2010 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
