The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University is excited to announce the addition of Valerie Corradini to its Dean’s Advisory Board. Corradini is a financial services executive with expertise in investment management, wealth advisory, institutional consulting and fintech. As a Graystone consultant at Morgan Stanley, her team advises roughly 50 non-profit, foundation and endowment clients. Hers is one of fewer than 60 teams accredited to specialize in the fiduciary management of discretionary and advisory portfolios on behalf of hospitals, faith-based organizations, universities, non-profits and complex ultra-high net worth families. As a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board, Corradini will join other industry leaders from around the world to advance the mission and strategic priorities of the Barton School through strengthening, enriching and enhancing the student experience.
“It's a wonderfully exciting time to join the Dean's Advisory Board, with its momentum of growth and innovation,” said Corradini. “I look forward to advancing key initiatives and creating new ones with a combination of perspective, creative energy and work ethic.”
Prior to her role as a Graystone consultant, Corradini served as a Managing Director at Barclays Global Investors (BGI). She led the inaugural Sales Strategy effort to launch the iShares exchange-traded funds (ETFs) business, as it pioneered a new category of tax-efficient index investing that has grown to a $14 trillion global industry. To complement Corradini’s investment expertise, she expanded her reach into human capital leadership, growing Egon Zehnder International’s Asset Management Practice and the FinTech Practice at Heidrick & Struggles. In 2014, she was recruited to Visa, Inc., to lead Human Resources for its roughly 6,500 global employees. She has also served as Senior Vice President of Sutro & Co. (now RBC) as well as their Director of Investment Management Services. Prior to joining Sutro in 2000, Corradini was a First Vice President at Salomon Smith Barney as the Consulting Group Regional Director for Southern California. She began her career in wealth management and institutional consulting at Sanford C. Bernstein & Co in New York City.
Corradini holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in Economics/Business and a Global Executive MBA from TRIUM, a consortium of NYU Stern, London School of Economics & HEC Paris. She has held the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation since 1998 and is currently Series 7, 63 and 66 FINRA licensed. She volunteers with Women Unlimited and continues with her leadership as Board Member and Past President of the International Women’s Forum, Northern California.
“Valerie is a titan of leadership,” said Dr. Larisa Genin, Dean of the Barton School. “The wealth of knowledge and expertise she has will be a substantial contribution to help elevate the Barton School to our highest potential.”
