Barton School of Business Exchange Programs


Students who are pursuing a degree in Business have the option to study at one of our six exchange partner universities in Austria, France, Germany, Sweden, China or Taiwan, which are only available to business students. All of these exchange programs offer business classes taught in English and students are able to pay their regular WSU tuition rate. Through consulting with a business academic advisor, students will be eligible to receive transfer credit for classes taken at one of the partner universities.

University of Applied Sciences- Wiener Neustadt, Austria

The University of Applied Sciences is located in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, which is about a 35 minute train ride from the capital city Vienna. The University has approximately 2,600 students. Students enroll in business classes of the equivalent of 12 U.S. credit hours and also take a German language course during the semester. The semester also begins with an intensive orientation week, which includes optional German language training.

Groupe ESC Pau is a private business school with approximately 1,500 students located in Pau, France. The University is situated on the campus of the University of Pau, which is a public university with nearly 19,000 students. Exchange students have the option of taking French Language courses(only at Beginner level) during the semester in combination with business courses taught in English. The business courses are part of a Master's program; however WSU undergraduate business students who have completed most of their business core classes can be accepted into this program. Exchange students interested in this program should have a good GPA in their business classes and be ready to take upper-division business classes. Most classes offered in Pau will be International Business related courses in areas, such as marketing, entrepreneurship, management and finance. Students must pay for at least 12 U.S. credit hours at WSU, regardless as to the number of courses they choose to take, while on the exchange.

ESCE (Pole Universitaire Leonard de Vinci)-Paris, France

ESCE is a private business school located in Paris, France. Exchange students have the option of taking French Language courses at different levels during the semester in combination with business courses taught in English. The business courses are part of a Master's program; however WSU undergraduate business students who have completed most of their business core classes can be accepted into this program. Exchange students interested in this program should have a good GPA in their business classes and be ready to take upper-division business classes. A variety of different business classes are offered in areas such as management, marketing, entrepreneurship, international business, and finance. Students must pay for at least 12 U.S. credit hours at WSU, regardless as to the number of courses they choose to take, while on the exchange.




Berlin School of Economics- Berlin, Germany

Berlin School of Economics has approximately 5,000 students. Exchange students are given the option to participate in a two week German Intensive Language Course, which is offered prior to the semester free of charge. The course will start in March for the summer semester and September for the winter semester. Students will enroll in the equivalent of 12 U.S. credit hours of business courses per semester. Berlin School of Economics also offers a program, which is 3 to 4 weeks long, during the months of June and July for exchange students to take business courses and/or German language courses.




Jonkoping International Business School (JIBS)- Jonkoping, Sweden

JIBS is located in the city of Jonkoping which is in the south of Sweden about 330 km from the capital city, Stockholm. The University has approximately 2,000 students with about 650 of those students from other countries. Exchange students take the equivalent of 15 U.S. credit hours per semester, including business courses taught in English and a Swedish language course. JIBS also usually offers a program in the summer during the months of June and July for business students.




School of Business Sun Yat-Sen University- Guangzhou, China

Sun Yat-Sen University is located in Guangzhou, China and has 4 different campuses. Exchange students can take 3 to 6 business courses per semester. Students must pay for 12 U.S. credit hours at WSU, regardless as to the number of courses they choose to take, while on the exchange. They also have the opportunity to participate in an internship during the semester, however internship placements are competitive. Exchange students can choose to take Chinese language and culture courses, which are offered throughout the semester weekly at no additional cost, other than the cost of the textbook. No credit is offered for the Chinese language courses. Transfer credit is only given for business classes.




Feng Chia University- Taichung City, Taiwan

Feng Chia University is located in Taichung, Taiwan with nearly 20,000 students. Exchange students take the equivalent of 12 U.S. credit hours per semester, including business courses taught in English and a Chinese language course. The Office of International Affairs at Feng Chia University organizes many different orientation programs and parties for exchange students to get more accustomed to live in Taiwan.


Please note: Aside from the exchange partner universities mentioned above, business students also have the option of studying at our other partner universities or at a university through the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP).
