Thank you for considering Wichita State University to pursue an education in the critically important and rewarding field of accounting. At the School of Accountancy, we place strong emphasis on preparing you for success in the accounting profession. The entire faculty is committed to help you develop skills required to enjoy a productive career.
We offer both a Bachelor's degree and a Masters of Accountancy program for those who excel at the undergraduate level. Our programs are challenging and rigorous. We encourage students to reach and achieve beyond their comfort level. At the same time, our faculty are personally concerned about your learning experience and are here to help you. We make our programs accessible to students from all backgrounds who are committed to the study of accounting.
The School of Accountancy provides carefully designed academic programs that prepare you to pass the CPA exam and develop the characteristics sought after in the market. In addition to the classroom, we also help students build relationships with employers. Local internships are plentiful. We strive to give you a practical applied learning experience along with a conceptual foundation. Several student organizations are available, including a consistently award winning Beta Alpha Psi chapter. These organizations bring employers on campus to you, simplifying the process of connecting with professionals. Our goal is to provide you with career development and networking opportunities that improve your chances of landing the job you want after graduation.
