Looking Ahead: Summer 2026 Activities

D-Air Capital II will be hosted at the end of August in Beggs Ballroom. The previous iteration in 2024 drew nearly 300 competitors from around the country, and the event is expected to grow even further in 2026.
These initiatives aim to expand esports accessibility and strengthen Wichita’s competitive gaming community.

“This year has been a challenge for the esports program, but one thing that has never changed is our students' ability to excel despite adversity. Our student leaders continue to be a bright spot both for our teams and on the national stage. We had an impressive group of freshmen join our program this past fall who have made their competitive impact already. We look forward to the future and our ability to connect with students and high schools in the region to remain a perennial champion.”

Spring 2026 has been a landmark season for WSU Esports, marked by historic qualifications, national rankings, undefeated runs, and championship victories. With strong leadership and emerging talent, the program is well positioned for continued success in the seasons ahead.
