Shocker Engineering Academy

Become part of an elite engineering student group at WSU and jump start your college education! Spend a week engaged in academic enrichment sessions, hands-on activities and fun social events. You will have the exclusive opportunity to move into campus housing early, interact with peers and engineering faculty and staff before the fall semester starts. SEA students are eligible to participate in a research experience as early as sophomore year.

Dates for 2024 are August 11 - 16.

Who is eligible?
High school seniors and transfer students studying engineering at WSU in fall 2024 that are US citizens or permanent residents.

Shocker Engineering Academy is a National Science Foundation (NSF) Kansas Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (KS-LSAMP) program that assists colleges and universities in diversifying the workforce entering science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields, in part, by supporting institutions’ efforts to increase the numbers of students that successfully complete baccalaureate degrees in these fields.
