Shocker Engineering Academy
Become part of an elite engineering student group at Wichita State and jump start
your college education! Spend days engaged in academic enrichment sessions, hands-on
activities and fun social events. Interact with peers and engineering faculty and
staff before the fall semester starts.
In partnership with GoBabyGo, SEA students will modify ride-on cars for young children
with mobility issues from the Wichita community. The project will count as Service
Learning, one of the (3) Engineering+ graduation requirements.
Who is eligible?
FIRST-GENERATION high school senior graduates studying in the College of Engineering
at Wichita State in fall 2026. First-generation means that neither parent or legal
guardian completed a Bachelor degree.
When is SEA?
Sunday-Tuesday, August 9-11, 2026 (all-day commitment)
