City and County Management
The Graduate Certificate in City and County Management offers advanced study in city and county management. The courses are drawn from the Master of Public Administration degree program of the Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs. The curriculum is designed to stimulate critical examination and application of theory, concepts, and best practices in city and county management. Those completing the program will be awarded the Graduate Certificate in City and County Management and completion will be recognized on the student's official university transcript.
Economic Development
The Graduate Certificate in Economic Development offers advanced study in economic development by state and local governments. Four graduate-level courses are drawn from the Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs and the Barton School of Business. The curriculum will cover the established theory and practical application in urban planning, urban land development, urban economics, and state and local economic development. Those completing the program will be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Economic Development and completion will be recognized on the student's official university transcript.
Nonprofit Management
The Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management offers advanced study relevant to the management of nonprofit organizations. The courses are drawn from the Master of Public Administration degree program of the Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs. The curriculum will engage students in the examination and application of key concepts and best practices most effective in nonprofit management. Those completing the program will be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and completion will be recognized on the student's official university transcript.
Public Finance
The Graduate Certificate in Public Finance offers advanced study in a core of related graduate level courses in public finance drawn from the Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree program. These courses are designed to enhance each student's ability to think critically about the social, economic and political contexts of public finance problems. Those completing the program will be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Public Finance and completion will be recognized on the student's official university transcript.
