Daniel Peterson is a real-time, animation-ready 3D artist, "Florida Man", with a lifelong passion for creating characters, props, and worlds. He began drawing at the age of four as a way to stay awake during church and school, unknowingly planting the seeds for a future in 3D Arts. As a first-generation college student, Daniel pursued his passion all the way to earning a Master’s degree in Game Art.

He first discovered his love for teaching as an undergraduate, when he would carry a 40-pound drawing tablet to class, rush through his own modeling assignments, and spend the rest of class helping his neighbors improve their 3D projects. Since then, Daniel has built a career across indie and AAA game development as an Art Lead, 3D Character Artist, and Quality Assurance Debugger.

His credits include work on Super Smash Bros. UltimateMario Golf: Super RushAbyss of NeptuneZombies NoirWorld’s Worst Handyman: PrologueThe Boo Croo, several secret NDA projects tied to major IPs, and his own original IP, Chaos Kart. He has showcased games at PAX West, EGX London, and Tokyo Game Show, and has lectured and guest spoken in Seattle, Florida, and the United Kingdom.

When he is not making games, Daniel creates content as a YouTuber, plays online games, and participates in Belegarth, a medieval fantasy foam-fighting sport.
