Note: International business majors are required to participate in an international experience opportunity, either through a study abroad program, IB 603 - Virtual International Experience, or other experience as deemed appropriate by advisor.
  1. All incoming freshman are required to take one First-Year Seminar as part of their General Education program. Students who are exempt from First-Year Seminar requirements may take an additional open elective.
  2. Global language courses are any WSU global language course at the 100+ level
  3. To complete WSU general education requirements students are required to have completed 9 credits of 300+ level general education courses. Courses that satisfy 6 of those 9 credits are included in Barton School of Business curriculum. Students are encouraged to select a 300+ level general education course in the humanities, fine arts, or math and natural sciences divisions to satisfy general education requirements.
  4. IB major electives are as follows: IB 400, IB 450, IB 481, IB 491, IB 603, IB 625, IB 690, POLS 220, POLS 226, POLS 336, POLS 395, POLS/ECON 570, MKT 403/MKT 405, 200+ level global language courses, history courses as approved by advisor, or maximum of 9 CR of international experience courses as approved by advisor
  5. Open electives are any course, in any subject that are at least numbered 100 or above
  6. International business majors are required to complete a business area minor
