Inside the Program

WSU students serve as staff at STEM camps

Education majors have the opportunity to serve as staff at WSU’s STEM camps. These camps are open to elementary and middle school aged students interested in learning more about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students lead activities such as Farm Tech where children learn to manage their own farm as they learn the basics of running a business. This applied learning experience provides students the opportunity to work alongside WSU faculty while gaining valuable classroom experience.

Curriculum

The four-year history / English program starts with two years of general education followed by two years of teacher education. The curriculum was developed in collaboration by university faculty and P-12 practitioners and includes teaching internships.
