Dr. Steven Farmer is the W. Frank Barton Distinguished Chair in Business. His 27 years of service to Wichita State University reflect an exceptional commitment to scholarship, teaching and student success. A nationally and internationally recognized scholar, Farmer has published 33 peer-reviewed journal articles, including 13 in Financial Times Top 50 journals. His research on employee creativity, work roles and identities has been cited more than 16,000 times. Equally notable is Farmer's impact in the classroom, where students describe him as caring, accessible and deeply invested in their success, while praising the thoughtful feedback and guidance that enrich their learning.
