Professor, Department of Industrial, Systems and Manufacturing Engineering

Dr. Mehmet Bayram Yildirim is a professor in the Department of Industrial, Systems and Manufacturing Engineering, where he has served since 2022. His research focuses on applied optimization and analytics with applications in sustainable engineering, supply chain management and energy systems. He directs the Systems, Analytics, and Energy Laboratory, the WSU DOE Industrial Training and Assessment Center, and the USDA REAP Technical Assistance Center. An ABET Program Evaluator and associate editor for The Engineering Economist, Yildirim has earned multiple university and college research and service awards, as well as international recognition for his teaching excellence.
