How do you think that you've benefited from your study abroad experience?
Being immersed in the community really helped improve my Japanese Language skills. I was able to go and talk with locals every day and experience a side of Japan that most tourists do not get to see.
Why did you choose to study abroad in Japan?
I choose to study in Japan as I was already a few years into studying Japanese and wanted the opportunity to study there and communicate as often as possible. I’m also a Game Design major and one of the fields of work is Localization and I’m interested in one day working to bring works from Japan over to the US and even vice versa.
What is one of your favorite memories from your time in Japan?
One of my favorite memories was meeting my Japanese Partner Honami. She was so kind and really helped me have the best time overseas. She even introduced me to her family who were so welcoming as if they had known me for years. I can’t wait to see them again one day!
